Background

Rapid Industries is an established service company with a wholly owned Mexican subsidiary Rapid Industries de Mexico, S.a. de C.v.

Opened in 1985 in Juarez, Mexico, Rapid was initially established to produce tooling and supply labor for high volume wire harness and switch manufacturing. Rapid quickly diversified to other industries and continues to provide shelter program and contract assembly services.

Our affiliate, Rapid Packaging and Assembly Solutions, was started in 2004. Initially created as Rapid Pallet, a licensed manufacturer of the SureStacker brand corrugated shipping pallet, Rapid Packaging and Assembly Solutions has developed into a fully equipped corrugated converting operation. Rapid Packaging and Assembly Solutions manufactures packaging materials to support the local maquiladoras as well as Rapid Industries’ shelter and contract assembly customers.

Rapid Industries was spun off in 1999 from RDS (Rapid Design Service, Inc.) which was established in 1946. RDS was one of the largest suppliers of technical services to GM and employed over 2,500 engineering, technical and manufacturing professionals operating from 40 offices in 10 countries across North America and Europe.
